Services and typical prices

Circuit directory One on at a time. Details below.

Panel upgrade to 200 amp

We replace the old panel and main breaker, move every circuit across and label each one. We pull the permit, arrange the shutoff with the utility and meet the inspector.

Typical price
$2,400 to $3,800
Usually takes
One day, power off about 6 hours

Level 2 EV charger install

We run a dedicated 240 volt circuit from the panel to your garage or carport and mount the charger. Before quoting we check that your panel has room for the load.

Typical price
$650 to $1,400
Usually takes
2 to 4 hours

Lighting

We add or swap fixtures, recessed lights, dimmers and porch or patio lights. If a ceiling has to be opened to run cable, we tell you before we quote.

Typical price
$140 to $260 per recessed light
Usually takes
Half a day for one room

Outlets and switches

We add outlets where you need them and replace worn, loose or two-prong ones. Kitchens, baths, garages and outdoor spots get GFCI protection.

Typical price
$180 to $320 to add an outlet
Usually takes
1 to 2 hours each

Ceiling fan install

We hang and wire your fan on a box rated to carry its weight, with a wall control if you want one. If there is no wiring at that spot yet, we quote that part separately.

Typical price
$160 to $280
Usually takes
1 to 2 hours per fan

Troubleshooting

For tripping breakers, dead outlets, flickering lights and anything that has stopped working. We find the cause first, then give you a fixed price for the repair.

Price
$145 first hour, then $65 per half hour
Usually takes
Most faults found in the first hour

Whole-home rewire

We replace old aluminum or cloth-covered wiring with new copper, room by room, so you can stay in the house. We walk the house and the attic before we quote.

Typical price
$9,000 to $18,000
Usually takes
5 to 10 working days

Safety inspection

We check the panel, grounding, outlets in every room, smoke alarms and the wiring we can see in the attic. You get a written list sorted into fix now, fix soon and fine as it is.

Price
$190
Usually takes
About 90 minutes

Three pendants over an island, the kind of job we price per fixture.

You get a fixed price before any work starts.

  • The number comes first

We look at the job, in person or from your photos, and give you one price in writing. That is what you pay unless you change the job.

  • We pull the permit

Panel upgrades, new circuits and rewires need a permit. We file it, book the inspection and are there when the inspector comes. The fee is already in your price.

  • Troubleshooting runs by the clock

Finding a fault is the one thing we cannot price ahead of time. It is $145 for the first hour, then $65 per half hour. Once we know the cause, the repair gets a fixed price too.

Some things should not wait until morning.

  • A burning smell you cannot place
  • A panel that is hot to the touch or buzzing
  • Scorch marks on an outlet or switch
  • A breaker that will not stay reset

If the main breaker is safe to reach, switch it off, leave it off and call us. Do not keep resetting a breaker that trips again. It is tripping for a reason.

Call (520) 555-0183

If there is fire or smoke, or anyone is hurt, call 911 first.

Every panel we finish gets a directory you can read.

Each circuit is labelled in plain words, by room and by what it feeds. The next electrician can follow it, and so can you at nine at night with a flashlight.

Wires are dressed square and tied so a fault is easy to trace later. Nobody sees it once the cover is on. We do it anyway.

We do not take on commercial work, high-voltage work or solar design. If that is what you need, we will say so on the first call.

Where we work

  • Tucson,
  • Oro Valley,
  • Marana,
  • Vail
  • and Sahuarita.

A little outside these towns? Call and ask. If the drive is too far for us to do the job properly, we will tell you.

Tell us the job.

A few lines is enough. Photos of the panel help, and we will ask for them when we call back.
